I’m a photographic artist from Baltimore, MD. My work speaks for the people and seeks to empower those whose voices are silenced. Projects that I have crafted range from discussing black identity to mental health to menstruation. Growing up in Baltimore, I was exposed to the grit of Baltimore City, often witnessing the harsh realities of gang violence whether on television or in real life. Refusing to become a product of my environment, I picked up a camera and began to photographically express the issues that affected the black community, such as colorism and stigmas. When I’m not writing, I share my story through Vocal Creators. I will be graduating from The Savannah College of Art and Design in June 2019 with a B.F.A. in Photography.
